📘 Book Blurb

Eight-year-old Prince Asher just wants to be accepted. But mysterious episodes steal control of his body, leaving him with no memory of what happened. Students at Central Jungle Academy call him “the weird prince,” and all Prince Asher wants is to prove he belongs.

Then the Herald’s Day ceremony goes horribly wrong.

Dark serpent clouds corrupt the ancient quest, and Prince Asher—not a mighty warrior—is chosen to save the Light of the Jungle. Armed with magical powers he doesn’t understand, he must face a sinister banished evil. But this ancient darkness feeds on the desires of those who long to belong, and Prince Asher’s desperate wish to be accepted makes him the perfect target.

To save the Light of the Jungle, Prince Asher must find the strength to protect everyone—even those who never accepted him.

What is a Beta Reader?

A beta reader is someone who reads a manuscript before publication to provide feedback on its content, characters, pacing, and overall readability, helping the author refine the story and address potential issues from a reader’s perspective.

Why join?

Being a beta reader is an opportunity to influence and shape a story before it’s published, enjoy an exclusive sneak peek at a new work, support authors in their creative journey, and develop critical reading and feedback skills—all while being part of the storytelling process.

What is expected?

If selected, beta readers are expected to provide honest, constructive feedback on the manuscript, focusing on elements like:

  • plot clarity,
  • character development,
  • pacing,
  • worldbuilding, and
  • emotional impact,

while sharing their reactions as a reader and noting any confusing or inconsistent parts of the story.

Apply by no later than January 5th, 2026
